Justin Timberlake is a jack of all trades—singer, dancer, actor, producer—yet his Trolls co-star Anna Kendrick knows one thing that he’s bad at: social media. Evidently the 35-year-old isn’t precisely a tech wizard.
“I saw him trying to fumble through figuring out social media when we were on our press tour,” Kendrick said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday. “There was a point where someone I think had explained Instagram story to him, and he was like on the red carpet, and I was like, ‘The camera’s facing the wrong way. I know you just had a kid, but you’re immediately like the ultimate dad?’”
“He’s also really into the 3D version of Trolls. I hadn’t seen it, and he was like, ‘You’ve got … It’s like it’s coming at you!’ I was like, ‘Are you a time traveler? I know what 3D is,’” she joked.
With a noteworthy TV franchise added to her belt—hello, Pitch Perfect—and a memoir in transit, Kendrick is officially part of the Hollywood in-group, yet that wasn’t generally the case. The 31-year-old conversed with DeGeneres about the confounding time frame in the wake of being assigned for her first Oscar for 2010’s Up in the Air yet at the same time being unknown as an actress.
